the bricks came out of the chimney behind the stove(which, by the way, is in our garage waiting to be hooked back up). today they removed the framing of both closets in the old guest room/new kitchen. it is now one big open space with most of the debris cleared away. still not a great place for people to play hide an seek, as some people did do one afternoon.
went looking for an electric tea kettle today so i can make a cup of coffee in my own home. did not return with one, however. that has to get resolved soon.
dining at friend's houses regularly. spontaneous dinner invitations 4 times last week!! beautiful meals everywhere. this is just one more element of this adventure, sitting in our friend's homes eating with them on a school night!
i could live without the dust, but so far that's my only complaint. we are weathering this fairly well, so far. getting up earlier so we can find all the things that need to come together to get us out of the house to school and work on time. so far, so good.
